Hunter had his appointment with the cardiologist yesterday. The biggest news is that the blood clot in his heart is getting smaller. We will continue to give him shots though for another month or so, but we we're glad to hear that. He weighs almost 9lbs now and is 22 inches long. He is small on the growth chart, but is actually doing very well considering how long he was hospitalized. He still has a feeding tube and will have it at least a few more weeks when he has his next swallow test.
Many of you have probably heard that Flying J and Pilot have finally merged. Flying J had been in bankruptcy for over a year and a half and it took a year before the FTC finally approved the merger, but it is done. As for me, I was one of the few in the corporate office who was transferred to the new company, Pilot Flying J. This means I basically work for Pilot now which is headquartered in Knoxville, TN. There has been discussion as to whether they will allow a group of employees to stay in Ogden or move everything back to Knoxville, but nothing concrete yet so I could still end up losing my job in the coming months. I have a lot of friends and coworkers who have already received notice that their employment with Flying J will be ending. It's a very sad time, but I have made many lifelong friends there that I will undoubtedly stay in contact with the rest of my life.
Everything else has been good for us. Tricia is celebrating her 27th birthday on Sunday. Wow, she is getting OLD! Happy Birthday sweetheart!
