More Updates

So I have been horrible about keeping this blog updated but I will try to keep it updated as best as I can, I know I keep saying that but I am trying. Well since I last wrote Hunter had his appointment with Dr. Smith (the Ear, Nose and Throat Dr.) and his vocal cord is still paralyzed, he said that some patients have reported a miraculous recovery around 12-18 months (which is what we are hoping for) but if he has not regained the use of his vocal cord by the time he is 2 they will have to go in and surgically bring one of the extra nerves from the next to the vocal cord so that his voice will be louder. It would not make is voice normal but it would be enough that he would be able to function in society. So we are going to be going back to the ENT in May after Hunter has his first birthday. He continues to get so big, he started crawling on the 3rd or 4Th of January, and a few days after he started crawling he started to pull himself up on furniture and a couple of times he has taken a few steps while holding on to the furniture. After all that he has been through it is so good to see him progressing like he is. He has said dada a few times and I'm still waiting for him to say momma =). He has an appointment with his Cardiologist on the 1st of February to check his heart, I know everything is still good because this kid is constantly going. Madi is doing amazing with her potty training, I pretty much don't even have to remind her to go to the bathroom, she does it all on her own now. She does have a few accidents while she's sleeping but it doesn't happen that often. She is so smart as well, we were going over the alphabet yesterday and out of the 26 letters she recognized about 20 of them. Well on to the Holiday's, Thanksgiving was great we were able to spend the whole day with Kris' family, because my family was planning on just spending time together for Christmas, so Thanksgiving was very fun but relaxing. Christmas on the other hand was crazy, we did Christmas here, then we went to Kris' families and then to my families. It was just go go go the whole day. We had my brother and his family here as well as my aunts and uncles with their families. It was so good to have family here, and since we were all here we got pictures taken, then the same day we go pictures taken with Kris' family that day was crazy too only because the kids just got way cranky towards the end of pictures with Kris' family. Well Madi's birthday was good it was tinker bell themed so I made her a pull apart tinker bell cake and it actually turned out pretty good and it looked good too. Madi had a good time because she got spoiled as usual. I just had my target ultrasound at McKay Dee on Tuesday and they looked really good at the heart and from what everyone saw the heart looks good, and the baby is definitely a boy he was very proud of the fact that he is a boy because he would make sure we could see that but everything else the tech wanted to see she had to work for =). I'm just grateful that the baby will be a healthy little guy. So everyone is doing really good, I will write more probably after Hunters appointment with the Cardiologist.
